Rollin is a behaviorism geek with a passion for working with dogs. He is a member of The Association of Professional Dog Trainers and is a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. His grandma, Colleen, instilled in him a love and respect for all animals, including Garter snakes they used to catch and release when he was a child. Rollin has worked teaching group classes at The Urban Pet since 2018 and has learned under the mentorship of the owner, Zack Grey, who has been a esteemed dog trainer and small business owner in LA for 17 years.
Rollin continues his education into the science of dog training and behavior and believes a good trainer is constantly seeking more answers. He strives to remain teachable. He has found the most compassionate way to train, and the way that sits right with his heart, is utilizing positive reinforcement and LIMA (least intrusive, minimally aversive).
Rollin's dog Kira is his most cherished teacher. His favorite hike in LA is the Eaton Canyon Waterfalls. Kira loves it too. It is also the place where he proposed to his spouse.
Rollin has been sober for 9 years. His time in sobriety has taught him accountability, humility and the importance of honesty. He doesn't take for granted the opportunities clients give him with their pets. This career is a gift that he wants to share.
